After what can only be described as one of the most exciting Formula One seasons in history, Lewis Hamilton was crowned as the youngest World Champion in the history of the sport.

Lewis Hamilton has shown his abilities in his first two seasons of F1 and was so close to winning in his rookie year. Although Filipe was also a worthy contender for the title, Hamilton was the better driver. Penalised many times by the FIA for infringements that Ferrari either got away with, or had never been seen before, Lewis still managed to hang on in there and win the World Drivers Championship.

The way in which Lewis won the title was awesome. The moment Hamilton fans thought it was over for the Brit when he was overtaken by Sabastian Vettel and in 6th place was shocking! However when Timo Glock then struggled in the wet with dry tyres on, put Hamilton back in contention. All he had to do was overtake Glock to win the Championship. With 18secs left of the last lap, Glock went wide and Hamilton sailed past! Ferrari must have thought that the Championship was Massa's but it was not to be.
